How onewith and Obvi improved add-to-cart rates

The onewith rebuild story, Obvi stats from Ron, two NYC events, and a lesson on Claude Cowork.

It’s been a busy week at Platter!

The team just published two case studies with onewith and Obvi. We launched a new store with Pinned Golf (went live yesterday). Brought on Mary Li, who is joining our design team. Things are moving.

In today's issue I'm breaking down the onewith launch, highlighting Ron's post about Obvi’s new store, and sharing two events coming up that are worth putting on your radar.

Plus, there are also a few good reads at the bottom including a must watch on Claude Cowork.

Let's get into it.

STORY OF THE WEEK

How onewith built their “dream” storefront and increased CVR by 41%

onewith sells swimwear built around a patented, edgeless design that fits like no-show underwear. The product is different from most swimwear on the market which means the storefront has to do a lot of educating.

Hayley Segar, the founder, had been personally designing and managing much of the store from the beginning. Last year, she got critical feedback from customers and peers that her store had performance issues. She made the hard decision that it was time to rebuild her store.

"I'm not one of those compulsive site-revamp founders. I actually believe in finding something that works and sticking with it. Which is why it pained me to come to the realization that the last version of our site had major performance issues that couldn't be patched."

She decided to partner up with our team and rebuild the store.

The results (compared to the same period last year):

  • 40% increase in add-to-cart rate

  • +41% increase in conversion rate

"I'm so proud of this storefront. It looks like onewith's best self at this point in our journey."

P.S. Hayley also shared some kind words on LinkedIn — go give her (and us) some love if you have time.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Ron's take on the Obvi rebuild

A few weeks ago we published the Obvi case study and Ronak Shah (CEO and Co-Founder) posted about it on LinkedIn.

If you haven't seen the case study, here's the TLDR:

Obvi came to us after their store had turned into what Ron described as a "dump yard of products and plugins." The design was dated, sections were hard to update, and they avoided sending paid traffic to it altogether.

We helped them modernize the store end to end — rebuilt with modular content blocks, a structured PDP system, a native cart drawer, and a before/after compare slider for transformation imagery.

Results:

  • LCP improved from 3,292ms → 2,865ms

  • Add-to-cart rate from PDP landings: +10%

"Traffic is more expensive than ever. You can't just build a site that looks good. It has to perform, be easy to test, and give you control. That's what we got with Platter."
